The Wasp class is a class of landing helicopter dock (LHD) amphibious assault ships operated by the US Navy and used in a large variety of missions: these ships are capable of operating helicopters, V/STOL aircraft and some landing hovercrafts and boats.

This MOC is a 1:350 scale model of a Wasp-class ship, designed in detail with all the features of the real ship:

– Openable well deck
– Hangar deck
– Flight deck
– Elevators to move aircraft from hangar to flight deck

The MOC includes 20 aircraft at the same 1:350 scale:

– 8x F-35B Lightning II fighter jet
– 3x AH-1 Super Cobra attack helicopter
– 3x CH-53 Super Stallion heavy-lift helicopter
– 3x CH-46 Sea Knight transport helicopter
– 3x SH-60 Seahawk multi-mission helicopter

And also:

– 1x Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) hovercraft
– 1x Landing Craft Utility (LCU) amphibious boat

The MOC also includes a wooden colour pedestal.
