The SS Normandie was a beautiful French ocean liner operated by the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique from 1935 to 1942. This ship was huge in size (even bigger than the RMS Queen Mary), but still fine and elegant, with her aft terraces and the aerodynamic bow; as for many other beautiful ships, the fate of the Normandie was disastrous: she caught fire at the New York pier and capsized because of the weight of the water sprayed inside by firefighters.
This MOC is a 1:400 scale model of the ship, which includes all the major traits of the Normandie as the bow windbreaker, the bulbous bow, and the stern lido decks with the round terraces and the outside pool.
