The RMS Queen Mary is a retired British ocean liner launched in 1934 and operated by the Cunard White Star / Cunard Line until 1967, year from which the ship remained permanently moored as museum, hotel and restaurant at Long Beach, California. This ship has a classic design that derives from the historic Cunard’s ships as the Lusitania and the Aquitania, but she’s bigger and faster and has an innovative cruise stern; the Queen Mary served as troopship during the World War II and during a crossing in 1943 she carried 16.683 persons on board, a standing record for the most passengers ever transported on one vessel!
My first creation of 2022, the Queen Mary Troopship variant, designed in a 1:325 scale; this model is widely derived from the original Queen Mary MOC, and it is designed to finely reproduce the real ship used during the World War 2 operations.
This model is really huge: 40 inches long, 5,8 in wide, and it has 4746 parts.. and it weights more than 4 kg!
