The RMS Queen Mary is a retired British ocean liner launched in 1934 and operated by Cunard Line until 1967, year from which the ship remained permanently moored as a museum, hotel and restaurant at Long Beach, California. This ship has a classic design that derives from the historic Cunard’s ships like the Lusitania and Aquitania, but she’s bigger and faster, and she has an innovative cruise stern.
The Queen Mary also served as troopship during the World War II; during a transatlantic crossing in 1943 she carried 16.683 persons on board, a standing record for the most passengers ever transported in one single trip on a vessel!
This MOC is a 1:400 scale model of the ship, including all the details of the real ship and with an easy and enjoying building process.
