The Darkstar is a hypersonic stealth aircraft from “Top Gun: Maverick” that was designed by Lockheed Martin’s “Skunks Works” division. In reality, this aircraft does not exist: it was specially designed by Daniel Simon for the Top Gun production, and a full scale mockup was built and used in some shots of the movie.
Darkstar has all the features of a real hypersonic aircraft: it has an extremely tapered shape, it is made with heat resistant materials, and it has two scramjet engines that can push the aircraft at a speed of Mach 10, ten times the speed of sound!

Since the first time that I saw Top Gun: Maverick, I decided to make a brick version of this amazing aircraft; I designed this model in the most detailed way possible, at a 1:35 minifigure scale, putting in as many details and features as possible.

This MOC has a lot of moving parts:

– Retractable landing gear
– Moving aerodynamic parts of the wings
– Moving spoiler
– Variable inlets on the engine’s intakes
– Moving rudders
– Openable pilot canopy

The model also includes a support stand to show it on your desk or in your Lego collection.
