The B-52 probably is the most famous bomber in the aviation history, known even to non-aviation experts, made famous by the key role he played in the Cold War and the apparitions in many war and action movies, such as “Dr. Strangelove” and “Apocalypse Now”.

The first B-52 flight took place on April 15, 1952, and it entered service in 1955; today, the B-52 Stratofortress still be in service and its retirement is not expected until 2040: at that point, the older models will have 80 years of service!

This MOC is a 1:80 scale replica of the B-52 Stratofortress, designed in every detail and with all the features of the real bomber:
